About Moten Associates
In 1970, Jack Moten set up an insurance agency to write bonds and insurance for construction contractors. Moten Associates operated for many years as a “boutique” agency and did not stray too far from its roots.
Moving into the year 2010, the agency has grown in both size and scope. The firm currently writes bonds and insurance for some of the largest contractors in the Delaware Valley. With customers of all sizes located up and down the East Coast, Moten Associates offers services of all kinds, from a contractor’s first bond to a multi-year construction project.
After 40 years of business, Moten has expanded beyond its roots. Now offering expertise in many technology-related insurance risks such as medical equipment, internet firms, and communications, the firm has grown and adapted to the needs of its clients. Moten Associates has also expanded its knowledge-base to benefit property owners, large auto fleet companies, and restaurant owners.
Moten Associates offers a Prevailing Wage Plan for “open shop” contractors. This Department of Labor- approved program allows contractors to save money on insurance costs and taxes while providing a retirement vehicle for labor and management.
Most recently, Moten has expanded to offer a complete line of personal lines insurance including homeowners, auto, boat, cycle and ATV.
